it was really hard to read that story when they had a picture of the most beautiful thing in the world in that update. besides if no online i guess system link wont be so bad right? But i still dont understand why they would have to make anything different from normal coop than online.

Couldn't you play over xbox connect if its system link? Or would you get the same problems there having now?

Yeah I'm almost positive I've played Halo 2 over Kai, along with Graw, Graw 2, and Chromehounds(I think)

But i still dont understand why they would have to make anything different from normal coop than online.

Because of the fact that it's online.

Two 360's connecting online to play is much different than playing on one 360 offline.

For those of you who didn't catch the name of this thread... I strictly stated "not certain". For the fact that, it's not known if it will be in the final release. They have infact stated they were having a bit of difficulty making it work. Now, I did NOT say it wasn't going to happen.

So for anyone posting after this... There is no official word. I thought i'd throw that out there before anymore people take that as the official word from Bungie.

Actually, you said it was "at risk" and the topic description was "Heading offline." Your topic title had false information and was worded in a manner that was misrepresenting the information. I changed it.

Also, I said all of that in my post, the third post of the topic. >_>

If UbiSoft can make a 16 player campaign Lan/Live, I have full confidence Bungie can make a 2 player campaign. Now, I understand comparing the two games is apples and oranges, but I know it can be done.

UbiSoft isn't working on the same scale as Bungie, sorry.

Well they are testing online co-op now. There were some tests done, some to be done.

I hope it's put in.

I meant Halo 2 on the 360. Unless if it's the games that has the ping limit and not the 360 itself. Then that would be a mistake on my behalf.

....any how can they know that game would work over a tunneling application if they put them up before 360 was out?
could well have taken the thing back down once they realised the tunneling applications didnt work.
im not trying to pretend i know much on software im more experienced in computer hardware but im doubtfull that the halo 3 game will work over xlink kai or xbconnect.

I'm sure it all depends on the game, though.
