i didnt say anything, i was being sarcastic. i havent even looked at these forums for a while because i never received help from anyone. i recently remembered about this site and came back to see what had been done. i found hmt3.5 and a bunch of stuff about mono being gone. i dont think i even posted much less offend him.

when he says open levels\test\carousel\carousel.scnr.meta, does he mean in the Build Folder when you have everything copied in there?

I would guess so, because that would be when you'd build the corrected BSP offset into a map file...

This is great! :D

One Q though, when it says count back 16 bytes from there, doesthat mean count back 16 bytes from psbs or 16 bytes in the middle section of the hex editor with the long numbers?

This is the number line that is next to the psbs.

00 00 00 00 70 73 62 73 2e c0 46 40 00 00 00 00 | ....psbs

So do I count back 16 from that last 0 in the line?
00 00 00 00 70 73 62 73 2e c0 46 40 00 00 00 00
....................................2e...............................
and change to................00 08 00 00?

Sorry, but I havn't used a hex editor since november or
something...

Thanx, but where would I find those #'s? The Multiplayer map I'm using is HangemHigh. This is what I see at the bottom of the hex editor when I open the snr file.

50 1e cc 4e 00 a0 3b 04 00 70 1e 00 00 90 95 41 |
00 00 00 00 70 73 62 73 2e c0 46 40 00 00 00 00 | psbs
cc 08 42 ea __ |

Those are the last 3 lines from the bottom, which area of those numbers should I change to 00 08 00 00 ? I'm guessing 2e c0 46 40 but I'm probably wrong..

By looking at that, if when you click on the "p" in the ASCII column on the right it highlights the "2e" on the left, then no, that's not what you'd change to 00 08 00 00. The string you'd change in that case is "00 70 1e 00" on the line above it, as far as I can tell....

Hope this helps ya a bit. :)

hmm that didn't work for me.

okay I'm using BG and in the ASCII test part i go to psbs. Now do you start counting back from the p, or the s? Cos' when I went back 16 bytes and changed it to 00 08 00 00 and went to check in the xml file, it was all screwy, it had deleted the enter thingie and when the map rebuilds i cant even open it in SE3.

Thanks.
