ok on aotcr u know that elevator? could you save the scrn or umm i foget the animation so when u get on it..it goes UP then goes bak down? could there b any way? please dont flame me i was just wondering and dont put use the search button noob bcause i cant get nething outta that search thingy
i think its possible... if u put a machine [mach] kinda like a door, and make it so that teh elevator comes down when u come close to it on the bottom. and so it goes up when u come close to it on the top, but of course i could be wrong.
and if this is possible.. i got no clue how to make it go up n down an crap.

Advanced answer: No, because the netcode cannot send a press this button to activate whatever over the netcode, it just will not send it just like AI, the only thing that *will* work is an elevator that is activated by stepping on it, because that my friend will go through halos small crappy netcode

Could you make this then cus just to have one that u stand on a colored patch to go down and i different colored patch to go up would make a good lift and wouldnt it stop if it collided with something? if so make a tiny inward ledge were it is forced to stop.

i dunno it depends on the colliision model i guess it might just go straight up through the ledge. But im thinking its possible because their have been moving doors in bloodgulch. and snow in bloodgulch. so it is probably fairly easy Monoxide probably knows how to do it. I know people are adding automatic doors to thier lvls so you couiuld settle with a trapdoor hehehe. There is a way to make thngs like lifts and such work
I know there is a way of making the lifts work by the holo switch that is used in the game. This can be done in MP. See, there is this thing called Control which is what would make the holo control panel that you use in SP to make lifts, doors, bridges, work that is a control object. Within it I believe is the code that would activate triggers and such. These controls are what I believe create the triggers. Currently I'm researching into this but I would appraciate any elp form anone who wishes to offer it. Hopefully the Controls part can be cracked. Already I'm working on a plugin for HMT for the control. I just nee help looking through the hex coding to find certain values. Like location of the holo control panel, the location of the trigger, what is used to set off the trigger, and things like that.
