[WIP] Lockout Mod

bad news...

my xbox died (it may just be the heat. over 100 for the past week here in colorado...) When I turn it on, it flashes green and red.

This has happend before. It is because not everything in the xbox is sauderd properly. Usually, I just have to hit it a couple times, then it works again, but I am not going to try that because the last time I did it, it broke the xbox, and I had to go in and re-sauder EVERY wire. I am not going to do that again, so I will just wait for it to cool down by tonight. Hope it works, or I will just post the unfinished map patch tomarrow.

sorry to bump this and double post, but this mod was discarded.

my xbox is broken. here is what happend...

Dstinnn (10:01:35 PM): well, it was origanly that one of the wires came un-solderd, and so my xbox's led would flash green &red, and it would just run the origanal bios of the xbox (which was deleted, so it took me to a black and green screen saying call customer support). so I re-soldered it, but I think my soldering iron melted the grey flat wires that attatches the cd drive to the harddrive, and the cd drive to the computer of the xbox. so now, when I turn it on, it turns on right away, then turns off. then turns on again, then off, then does it one more time, and the led flashes green &red.

so I gave this mod to DrXThirst to finish today. Not sure when he'll be done with it, but thank you DrXThirst for finishing this for me.

This happens to me with the flashing lights. If you have a modchip(i do) all i do is press the cable harder into my modchip (the cable is what connects the modchip to your xbox) is what i was talking about

I am finished, because I want this to be YOUR mod, not mine. I am ready to release whenever I can get a patch uploaded.

Dstin1, your problem sounds like the solution is as simple as buying a new IDE cable for $5.

Also, I say the 3rd main menu shot is the best.

I tried the new cable (had a couple of them lying around the house). didn't work. so I smashed the xbox with a hammer

. &my computer crashed, so I lost all my modding files too.

Wow. You're an idiot. That Xbox most likely could have been fixed after additional troubleshooting or at least salvaged for parts to sell for money towards a new one.

lol. we spent hours trying to fix it. we re-soldered everything. we kept the mod chip just incase, but everything else would have been pointless to keep, its not that much money. &im getting an xbox elite now anyways
