Skinning help

Alright, i was trying to make a skin for the warthog but when i put it on the xbox it looks like someone took a chainsaw to the warthog if you are more than 10 feet form it.what causes this to happen?

Whats causing it is that when you move further away, the xbox lowers the level of detail to reduce lag.

It's not the skin. It is the model. The only way to fix that I could think of is to redo the skin until it looks better. Other than that IDK. Sorry
