instead of making a new topic i replied to one that was already made.
smart. it keeps the forums more organized that way.
anyway, i have tried swapping track avlues and of course that doesnt work, but i also have noticed the 1st to 3rd and vice versa vehicle transition, so it must be possible. That hack halo thread with the fake 3rd person looks like it could be a promising workaround if all the controls get completed

Remember, Halo was originally supposed to be a third person game. Surely Bungie has to have left some of the old coding and whatnot laying around in the game? Hell, they left the Engineer in there, even tho they didn't use it.

they also left the gravity rifle in there, and a few other tidbits. but i think they completely recoded the game when they changed it from 3rd person.

best guess is to scrap that MC vehicle idea (wtf are you guys on about) and just try to find where it dictates what camera track your biped follows. then just tell it what to do, such as tell it to follow the warthog gunner track. you won't have any trouble with slow turning because the mc turns with your mouse, not turns to where your mouse is pointing.

go for it, i'd love to see 3rd person integrated in the game

make the hog invisible and enable firing mc weapons. and remove the animation trigger of when ya get in da hog. shit i dont know. ill play with it.

use HHT ive done crazy shit with it. if you swap shit there you usually dont get errors. trust me.

well one thing u do need if u mange to get first person is u are going to have to switch the models of cyborg to cyborg/fp or ur only gonna see a pair of hands

he wont really need that if hes going in the vehicle. because it doesnt use the fp/fp.

but has anyone tried just swapping models with hht. just fp--->cyborg i doubt it'll work but what if its that easy.

one cool thing they left in are the multiplayer sounds they didn't use. There is one where he says "play ball" and one where he says "hill occupied" i discovered this while making a mod where shooting a gun says "triple kill" and "killtacular", etc. I am also importing these into sp maps so that when u kill a grunt it goes "double kill" and an elite: "triple kill" (and perhaps a hunter: "killtacular")
but i am digressing incredibly. back to camera angles

Sorry people, Walka did this a long time ago. I remember it, but i dont have the forum thread..... He did do it tho, i remember watching a video of it.

walka didnt do it. it was someone dead screen on another TV who couldnt spawn.

you need to edit all the specific points within the tracks. but i have no idea what they mean or how to interpret/edit them
