Getting xbox live to work by connect to laptop

i think this is the right section... anyway

I need help connecting to xbox live.

my xbox 360 cable is connected to my laptop, and the wireless internet is set to shared and xbox 360 cant find the IP address help mb? (windows vista)

okay well when i do it i have my connections bridged so do everything the same and make sure its bridged. use the picture for help.
