Need some 'Briefing' on modding

Hi,
ok i've modded halo 2 before (dothalo, enitity....) and i want to mod Halo 1 for the xbox and create a map using a 3D visual editor and play it on multiplayer, since in halo 2, you cant...at least not yet. my question is...is that possible, and how do you do it?
