I have AVG Internet Security and it works great! I never trust norton as the firewall went and blocked everything.

AVG Anti Virus free(Not trail!) is probly best for you, plus it updates its detection rules every day, not taking much memory.

I got McAfee today, It works great.
I recommend it highly and its very easy to use and doesn't have pops ups constantly showing up everytime it blocks something.

i use McAfee Total Protection 2007 and it works great. Also PC-cillin is great too. I personally dont like Norton because of its many popups. Also when your subscription runs out, Norton sucks...

All to true. If you end up with a virus, use a System Restore Point. They have saved me multiple times. Another way to avoid this is to use Virtual PC 2007 to run a virtual PC where you can install stuff and test it before running it on your actual machine (take the professional route, if you will).

I used to have TrendMicro PCcillin. worst shit ever. Even though you set certain applications to allow complete full access to the internet, (Steam, Zune Marketplace, even Firefox) and it has the habit of reseting and losing all those points. so you have to redo all the points. and when you try to install a program from a disk, it'll attempt to block the product verification and can cause the install to crap out.
