Tural... I wasn't accusing or claiming you made any sort of mistake. It was just a silly attempt at simple humour, which obviously didn't work. I just found it funny, that people can speculate and go nuts over something as simple as a power button, which is what it is.

I'm beginning to dislike this place, everyone's so uptight and at eachothers throats... I may consider taking this to the rant thread.

Nice model, btw.

I wasn't being uptight, it was just a matter of the internet not carrying tones very well. It's hard to discern when people are joking or serious.

I'm talking about the symbol on the green um...I wouldn't call that a button. Whatever it is. The green thing.

I don't think it's a power symbol at all. Line the one on the gun up with the "power symbol". They're different.

As I said before, I don't think it's a power button at all. I think it's simply a fire-ready(STILL do not know the proper term) switch, just as the MA5B had.

Actually, the button on the MA5B was for the flashlight.

There's an unused animation in the tags depicting the button being pressed labeled "light-on".

It is a power symbol, as it is very clear on the MA5B bitmap from Halo 1, as well as an animation, apparently, as CAD mentioned.

I wasn't even paying attention to where that was. I was thinking it was further back, near the trigger. That's what I was talking about.

That's really cool, they should've had that when you pressed the flashlight button.

Would make sense to have it somewhere where you don't need to move the end of your gun, but yeah... cool.

Why? The MC only used the flashlight on his helmet, only the marines used the weapon's light.

Doesn't the light follow the weapon in Halo 1? Like if you reload and point it at the ceiling, the light winds up on the ceiling?

Yeah, and also when you switch weapons and/or bash someone, the light jiggles around.

Anywho, that thing's basically got all the thigns wrong with it stated on h2v, so I'll let that be. Also, you need to learn not to get so many nonplanars everywhere.

Yep. First person the flashlight is on the gun.
3rd person the flashlight is on the side of the helmet.
A very odd bug that Bungie never addressed.

In Halo1, in FP the light is on the gun, but in 3rd its on the helmet.
Very nice anims.
EDIT: looks like someone posted before me.

These renders have nothing to do with CMT. Doom sent me the model so i could toy around with it. I uvw mapped it, and Darco and I did the textures. Much still has to be done. I'm learning how to do detail maps, so hopefully I can get it looking good soon.
