The world as robots. And You.
Have you ever though of the world to be just full of robots? Like every human being, and animal, not have a life like you do? But instead, they are all part of a big program?
Maybe so.
Of course I am going to expect you to say yes. Because if you were a robot, trying to trick me, (which I really think your not.. ) You would say yes.
And to you, if you have thought of it, you find it impossible to prove to someone you are human, with a real life, and make your own choices, and stuff.
It's just so weird to think about..
Also, with all the religions out there, How do you know which one is right?
I am Christian, and was raised knowing that there is a Jesus and a God.
But, what if it wasn't the right religion? I hate saying that, because I don't like to say it, because it's sort of against my religion. (Kind Of.)
Do you think the real God would forgive you? I mean, how could you know?
Just some thoughts..
I ask some people these questions all the time.. And some just go WTF? And some know what I am talking about.
What do you think?
Maybe so.

however since i myself have studied philosophy and like to consider myself a sort of philosopher i can say that i have pndered this theory many times before
and i believe God and Jesus are real. there is no doubt in my mind that they exist. dont fight with me about i am just saying what i believe in.

You can't say any religion is "right" or "wrong." To do so is forcing your own beliefs on other people, and in turn oppressing their beliefs. Let everyone think what they wish and don't try to convince them they are wrong. When it comes right down to it, trying to convince people that your religion is correct is completely irrational and frankly, incredibly annoying. When you do this, it is, in short, presenting your own opinions as fact because (Being blunt here) you read it from a book or are told to believe it. You can't prove it, and that's the fact of the matter.
To be honest, I have no idea what the overall question of this thread is. I've read the post a dozen times and can't seem to get the direct question other than "Which religion is right?," which, as I addressed, can't be answered by anyone. Nobody has any right to say they are correct and someone else isn't.
Assuming God were real (This is not stating my belief) and he were to condemn you to Hell for being a free thinker and believing what you choose to believe, then I'm not sure I'd be too fond of that God at all. If the almighty God can't accept all people because they have a free will, well that's not much of a figure to look up to anyways.
I typed this post in a bunch of parts and put it together when I was done, so there's probably quite a bit of lacking coherency.

Basically, You (Tural) Alive now, you can move, and you know your alive. What if everyone else in the world was a AI robot, type thing, and everything was just some big program. It's hard to explain. Like, it's a thought I got. and I shared it with others, and they had it also. I was seing what people thought of it. If you haven't ever had the thought of You, and the rest of the world being non living, but instead Robots, its heard to have any coherency to.

It's just too contradictory to say that one person is the only 'true' person, yet the concept applies to all. The situation is too abstract and full of logic holes for it to be remotely possible.
I can't even explain in words why it wouldn't be possible. I can't come up with a way to explain how flawed it is. Everything about it is completely illogical.

It's hard to explain because it's impossible for one person to be the only living creature on a planet. Not to mention you would have to somehow fabricate an entire history of species and races just to have this one person not see the holes in everything. Even then, to create such a convincing environment and history would take billions of years. It would literally take you letting everything happen naturally, then kill everything on the planet and replace them with 'robots.' All this for one person? That one person would have to be pretty important. If you can create a whole universe to convince this one person they're in a natural setting, you can deal with your own problems and you don't need them. You can create perfect human 'robots,' so perfect that they are identical to real humans, you don't need one real one. Even then, how did that one person come to exist? They just spawned from the air? I think not. You created them? That makes them a 'robot' like the rest. On top of all of this, it would be so much easier to just get the human and tell them what is going on. It would be much easier to comprehend for both sides, and in reality, would save several billion years.
It is illogical in every way.

Hmm.. I can see that.
But still, it could possibly be easy to do, with the advancement of technology.
But Yea...
I can see.
(Offtopic)
Also, Another thought is, If I were to say aloud, "In the future, If we invent a Time machine, and potion to bring people back to life, I will come back and visit my self at this very moment.", Nothing would happen. Does that mean we wont ever invent them?, or Maybe, I just forgot all about it., (In the future)

Why is this thread so random? Pick a topic and stick to it.
If time travel is possible in the future, there's no way it would be public technology, ever. The public is not responsible enough to have that kind of power, the power to change everything at their will. Under no circumstances would it be anything short of top-secret government technology that people would speculate about forever, but never prove or disprove its existence.
To say you will invent it does not mean you will. If someone were to invent it, they would be detained so fast they wouldn't know what hit them.

OH MY GOD. I've had the same exact thoughts for the past couple of years.-Legendary- wrote:Basically, You (Tural) Alive now, you can move, and you know your alive. It's like this. I know I'm alive. I truly do. I know that I am influencing my decisions with MY conscious thought. But what about the rest of the world? I don't KNOW that every one of you exist. I don't KNOW that everything else is a sentient being. It could all be a dream and every single thing in the world is a figment of my imagination! You might say that this is absurd...but is it? For me, it isn't that outrageous, because I have NO way of knowing if anyone else actually thinks or not.
Yes, my philosophy is screwed up.

Not robots, but imaginary characters created by your mind, this is entirely plausible. For all you know, you could be in a coma and be imagining everything that happens in your life. It would be impossible to prove/disprove this.
Shadowkhas stoleded my idea.
