Hey. Most people, and i mean everyone doesnt name a skin after themself. We mostly give them a name like for this one it would be Camoland or Wasteland not Hens Relic. and using the same textures all through out the same map is a big no no. It doesnt look right at all. Sometimes you have to look at your own skin and say..............Would i even download this?

Here's a tutorial to help you make all the seamless textures you want.
http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=45202
This work with wood, bark, carpet, tiles, cloth, clouds, snow, sand, etc., etc., etc. This will help you out a lot.
And when it comes to skinning, you need to decide what you want every part of the map to be. If you decide you want a surface that was originally skinned to look like metal to be something else like wood, make yourself a seamless wood texture (with a photograh you either took or found) and inject it. Try to make it make sense.
Good work, thoug. I hope to see more stuff from you.

Anyways bad skin. Bad textures, dumb skin name, 3rd skin= 3/10
My first was better :/

I know I hate repeating textures too...But I was just jokingtheycallmechad wrote:I don't so much love showing it off as I would love it if people were to actually use it. Seamed textures really bother me. I didn't make the tutorial because I wanted any glory or anything, I made it so I woudln't have to look at skins with horrid seams and the such.

Winter Spring, I believe it was. To do that you recursively duplicate a 512x512 shader multiple times (DXT5 is best) and just go to town shader swapping. Use the new 512 shaders you duplicated in place of the lower quality shaders.
Keep in mind, though, that different shaders will have different effects on each surface you put it on. Some shaders have reflection maps, others don't. Some have bump maps, others don't (and so on). Make sure you know what you want and then rebuild a shader to suit your needs.
