[App] Eschaton 0.7.2 - Beta
Just recently was playing around with it (nothing conclusive yet) and got to wondering about windows compatibility. Popped it onto a shared drive, booted up in XP, low and behold the sucker worked. Not as good looking interface wise, but it works. So just sounding off and seeing if anyone's interested. Poll on the first page (30 days long as of this post date).
@Ice-link
models are one of the next big things I'm looking into as a feature for what I'll be adding to Eschaton.

It would have to auto scale, and I doubt that is possible for an app...If you can, more power to ya. I just highly doubt you can auto scale it. Also instead of doing coordinates can you have it like sparkedit where you can see where your putting it?

The respawning AI tutorial I saw was identical to the one for PC using hmt. Just d-swapping out weapons in itmc tags to be the vehicle that your AI are on.
For comparison with pc tools it's got a dependency swapper (HHT) and does similar editing to HMT v3.5 with a slightly different interface. Can't rebuild yet. Can numerically move spawn locations of bipeds, vehicles and scenery. It also has a plugin editor.

how do you extract meta and edit it?
I need to know why it doesn't let you edit meta that you extract!!
Please Help Me!!

The meta extract is really primitive and shouldn't have been included. What it does is do a byte by byte copy of the entire meta. So it will only work on that exact map as a backup file. It's a binary copy of the meta data. If you were to open it up in a hexeditor, you could mess around with it but that's all. In short: ignore it unless you're messing with a meta and you need a backup version.

i hope that makes it into the next release. i really, really think that proper meta injecting and some form of A.I. spawning should be included as well, i know that this is currently inconceivable right now but it would make eschaton one of the truly best apps available!Altimit01 wrote: models are one of the next big things I'm looking into as a feature for what I'll be adding to Eschaton.
ok, I'll deal with this right now. AI don't respawn normally. They are just put on the maps at spots in SP levels, and have scripts that make them appear when you're within a certain range or something happens. You can already respawn stuff by putting them on weap tags (or so I've seen). CE does it by compiling scripts for the halo engine. nyeh.
Yeah, PMI is in the works. And by in the works I mean top of the to-do list once I start again which won't be for two weeks at least.

Yes it would be very useful, but everyone would use it (not that AI isn't fun to have) I'm just thinking its going to be the new log mod...
