Sure, you can lock/delete this thread but I wanna ask if anyone knows of one as well, we are all gamers (I would be confused if anyone on this forum hasn't/doesn't play games...).
Basically I want a VGA cable to connect to my kool widescreen monitor (as in Component Cable [I think, the blue red green] input) so I can play my 360 in HD ('Cos I have SD TV's, unlike you, you filthy rich Americans and Brits

). BUT! I also want it to have RCA abilities too, so that way I can also play my original xbox through the monitor.
Like, I could get just a plain old RCA VGA cable, but then that'd be crappy because then I can't play my 360 in HD...I want to get the best of both worlds

So do you guys know of any VGA cables with Component input and RCA input? Coz that'd be awesome

VGA wouldn't connect to Component OR Composite (RCA). VGA just plugs into VGA. You'd have to use the included cable for Composite, and buy a Component cable for the other TV.

/me needs to actually research more...The things I found said otherwise (Probably looking for the wrong thing as I don't really know mucha bout anything)

Most monitors are 16:10, not 16:9. Therefore, unless it has a feature to to do fixed aspect scaling (most sub-24" and even some 24" don't), you're going to wind up with an image whihc is distorted and stretched vertically. Also, it won't be at the monitor's native resolution, causing further distortion from the monitor's scaling.

I swear this isn't the first time you've ranted about 16:10 being so bad. Most aren't 16:10, I'd love to know where you got that from.

Scotty, just buy a decent TV... you have a job, so you have no excuse about not being able to afford one. Save your money, don't waste it.

It seems to me that that's not the issue. The issue is physical connectivity. And also with the aspect ratio settings, the Xbox can change that whenever it wants to in the Dashboard.

What I think you'll need:
RCA cable
Component Cable
Either: A/V Switch or a VCR

The easiest and probably cheapest is to buy a bulky VCR with component, RCA, and s-video (why not). The converter-only things (that look sort of like modems) tend to be overpriced pieces of crap unless you can find that one lucky A/V switch that does it all.

Apparently $50, I found mine. Really. On the street. S-video, Component, coax, and RCA in the back. DVD and VCR in the front. God I wish it had some firmware hax so I could play plain old video files on it though =(. But it get's the job done and it's really not bulky at all. It can support the weight of my insanely heavy TV and is only like 2.5 inches tall. Plus it's a DVD player.
I'm sure you can find something more specific to your needs and cheaper too. I'd avoid places like Radioshack or Frys or the equivalent wherever you live, they'll just rip you off.
