By random exceptions i mean - ill be playing the game and everything will be running smoothly and then the game will just exception. I read the tut on how not to get an exception and that didnt work. now ill tell you what all i did.
I PMIED a warthog, c storage, giant boulder, banshee, c gun turret, garage door, c torch, energy sword, and wraith weapon (not vehicle) all from B40 along with my SP->MP.
Where you play is on the B40 a BSP right at the end in that huge cave place where you have to walk across a bridge. the cave is right after you defeat all the wraiths and walk down a hill and the snow become cement, and you have to keep opening garage doors to get to the cave. i had two vertice and indice problems at both sides where the garage doors are on Campaign.
I moved all the spawn points and added the garage doors, warthog, banshee, c gun turret, c torch, boulders, and i moved all the weapons above the ground in the cave (so i could move them down later) and CTF points, plus some secret teleporters. my first exception happened when i climbed one of the rocks. another one happened when i played CTF and dropped the flag to see the flag (i dropped it and walk right to view it. i didnt exception when i dropped it). Once i got one flying a banshee for about 2 minutes.

so anyways i moved all the weapons down to the ground, and in sparkedit, deleted all the covenant weapons. I thought weapons falling would cause the exceptions. if you know how to fix this please help.
NOTE: i left some scenery, the oddball and other MPFLAGS outside of the map.

That in no way changes the chances of getting a exception, it just makes it easyer figure out what it is :/ .Mooose_Guy wrote:usually when i do sp>mp, i dont add new objects in the same rebuild. it improves the chances of not getting and exception.
On b40 i have never had aproblem when doing a sp>mp, i dont think the bsp uses detail object collections, all though the scenario does list 1, if it is detail object collections this tutorial explains how fix them

No the tutorial says how fix this WITH CE, you see in halo pc detail object collections are not supported in multiplayer (???). and when you see them they cause exception errors.
For instance if you sp>mp a30 you can be in the bridge part and not get exceptions, but as soon as you leave the tunnels it will exception becuase it tried to use the detail object collection which the scenario doesnt list. Sorta like if u give a weapon a reference to a non-existent tag it wont exception till it gets to that weapon and the effect required circumstances.

Did you PMI anything from a30 or c10? If so then thats what could cause the exception, due to the fact of detail object collections. You can safely pmi stuff from those 2 levels
