xbox power cord

Post by sangheili123 »

Hey is it ok to replace the ac power cord that i got with my xbox, with a generic one?

The specifications for the generic power cord are: 2.5 amps, 125Volts and 312.5 watts.

Dont tell me to get another one from microsoft because thats not gonna happen. Also, the generic power cord i have is able to fit into the xbox's outlet. If you need to know what the power cord is, its the one that is not plugged into the TV.

There's a possibility that it will work. Would I? No.

I would recommend buying one from the closest game retailer. They have used power cords for extremely cheap. I'm talking like >$10.

If the same input and output and voltage match, then yes, it should work.

But I am with Kibito. Better safe than sorry.

Ok yeah i plugged it in, works perfectly. I also went to the pc repair shop, and they said it would work with no problems.
