Actually I'm annoyed that I can't pay for Vista, and so can no one else who I know who likes Halo 2. XP may be able to play H2, ut it depend's on how high graphics and sound's you generate it for.

And I can play live play on XP, that's how I play thing's like SW: RC and Halo CE online.

Windows -- Connect Live is for Vista only....
Windows -- Connect Live is the online SERVICE which H2V is based on for online play...and plus there are many things that XP cannot support for H2V

P.S.-------Windows --Connect Live maybe wrong name(if anyone knows please correct me....)

That's why I've stopped, all I'm doing now is watching for this to be finished(though I accept it will take some time).

A small question, will there be custom animation's on the biped, because I so dream of having no nade's and being able to lower my arm's like in H2.

considering we won't be using anything from h1, i think we'll have custom 3p and absolutely all new fp animations. and grenades are weapons, you must equip them.

Good, because I don't awnt to suddenly fly through the helecopter door for no reason and my leg's and arms start having a spaz attack.

here's an update that got here 2 weeks late. >_<

Car Bomb
H2v is right around the corner, and so is syncing destructible vehicles .
So one of the new vehicles that will be featured in the H2v maps will be the car bomb. Functions like a normal vehicle however its weapon is to self destruct, killing anything within a 30 foot radius.

First Person Arms
Well halo's fp arms are very disproportional to real weapons...and they're cyborg arms. So this required the creation of new arms. They are nearly complete I just have a few bit of tweaking on the muscle to do and then just need to get em skinned and rigged. Expect in games of the arms by next update.

ALSO:

some of you may know of another mod, Shellshock. this is based on the vietnam war. it is under heavy consideration that Shellshock will become part of modern combat. since our maps are covering conflicts from ww2 to 2007 campains, this will cover the vietnam era.

It's only natural that Ambush, Shellshock, and Modern Combat should be grown under the same roof, tended by some of the greatest talents yet seen in CE.

Just to clarify, because I don't really understand, this is a string of different maps? Are all these weapons and updates all for one of these maps, or is it a combined thread and they all may end up in completely different games?

There are multiple maps for different eras. the updates we happen to be showing are for the map set that will take place between 1990 and 2007. when we do ww2 maps etc. we will make weapons of that era. the maps are for halo ce and h2v, however most likely only 2 will be featured on halo ce. hope this clears anyone else's confusion.

Mac11 (3 variants), Skorpion (2 variats), Uzi, MP7, MP5, S&W 500 magnum (2 variants), Colt v10 compact, beretta 92, glock, Serbu Super Shorty, remington 870, 870 tactical, 870 mcs (m4 underbarrel weapon), M4 (3 variants), ak-47, ak-74u, m203 tactical, rpg-7, Walther WA2000, m249 saw, m14 sniper, and more that i forget.

so far that's 27 guns.

oh yes, grenades are weapons. they take up a weapon slot, and must be equiped. you cannot lob them with a gun in hand.
