I might pick up working on it again. It was rather fun at the time. It's written in C# entirely from scratch if anyone is wondering.

So could anyone point me in a good direction. I'm reading a book on C++ and seeing what is coming of that. I just want anything that can help. I mean I can't do anything but hello world..and I still don't completely understand variables and exactly what the iostream thing does ><. Even C++ tutorials sites would be helpful. I just really want to learn :?

Edit: From my uber low knowledge, I know that you practically need a game engine which are on the money side for good ones, and you still have to know some programming to use it. I still don't see how it comes in ><. Is HEK even considered a "Game Engine". I've seen a pic or 2 of the Unreal game engine. Holy shit, that is 3ds max on steroids.

HEK isn't a game engine, they are programs that help with custom content in Halo Custom Edition. And secondly, 3ds max doesn't aid with Game Engine creation, it's only purpose lies with models, renders, etc.

if you are going to start learning programming, i wouldnt recomment a language as hard as c++, try something easier like vb.net or c#.net, then work you way up. (it worked for me :D )
