wow im so sorry about this i fell like such a noob i didnt think id need this much help and again sorry about double posing :( but when i click recusive and parsed then go to save it says offset and length were out of bounds for the arrat or count is greater than the number of elemnts from the index to the end of the source collection

I've got one super quick question it says you have to copy the ai stuff over well there is no "ai encounters" there's "ai squads", "ai squad types", "ai vehicles", "ai zones", and "ai triggers" but no "ai encounters" i don't know what to do and i need ai for my mod "Dark Side of the Moon".

to burnboy- go to tools in the top left corner and change it to heta editor they are in there



and i have a question of my own, i seemed to have followed the tutorial but instead of spawning a player it spawned a squirpion :roll: does anyone know what could cause this?

ps: i once saw a video that where a guy was testing his map on his pc, is this possible for anyone to do, it would make this a heck of a lot easier

try using an older version of entity plantoons=AI Squad Types............squads=ai squads you may just need to keep switching between the newer and older entity's

ok here's another question. I'm having trouble on the clone chunks part i get as far as the AI types and when i try to clone character i succed, but it doesn't show in the meta only the other ones. so i tried this and added all of the chunks to the coagulation one and saved the scnr. i tried to impant it into the map and then i get an error that says meta wont fit HELP? i also havn't added the ai encounters because i cant find it

ok to NULL out the BIPd just right click BIPD go to swap.hit the down arrow and choose NULL,thats it.

ok heres my question: how do i save without getting an error? i changed the options to parsed and recursive and when i go to save it wont let me, i get an error.I also get an error when i try to open a map half the time b4 i input the mainmnu.map,shared.map, and single_player_shared.map
*still a good program thoe i just cant figure out why i have errors
-BTW: i used the enitity from the link above

now that i took some time to look at AI mods on different maps I don't think you need the "ai encounters" and "ai zones"

Ok it took me awhile to get a hang of this tut but I figured it out except one thing. When I am cloning chunks I get as far as AI SQUAD TYPES then when I add the meta for it to the map I get an error report and I no longer can open the map in entity. Help would be appreciated.!!!

please dont consider this a "bump", but why wont they move around? They shoot but wont move like the elites do. Can they move? thanks

Everytime I transfer any kind of AI to another map, Entity just either freezes or only locks up one map. I keep trying to transfer the Elite flood into Coag, and when it seems like it finishes, nothing moves except the Campaign map. If I transfer the *Char* file, everything corrupts. If I transfer the Bipd, it just sits there until I close it out.

Mind you, I do let the program sit there to do its thing for at least a half hour just to be sure, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Are you building them into your map, or drag and dropping them?

EDIT: I figured out what I was doing wrong. Now I need to know why none of the reflexes aren't becoming editable. They are all disabled.

I can't find the Bipd reference. So is it really that important to null it out or can I continue on without having to null it?

right, i cant find the "initially spawn squad" thing, where am i suppose 2 be looking?
