I much prefer the commercial model, to the alpha one.

Graphically, IMO not much was improved from the Pre-Alpha to the Alpha. :?

X drops a trip mine or activates a bubble shield, depending on which you have.
That's my thought.
"We didn't even have to activate our trip mines"
It fits.

You don't need to think, or elaborate. It's been announced. I've said what it does, on the previous page.

I believe it has something to do with changing camera angles, timefreeze, or instant replay that they showed in the video. It's just my guess, though...

And Geo, I could look at the previous page, but I'm living in the now: I worry about the page at hand .

I'd assume those replays work as other games have, where it's a separate part (as in you don't do that stuff during the game)...so it has different controls.

X = deploy equipment (bubble shield, trip mines and what seems to be a portable grav lift are the only known equipment thus far).

You didn't read my post, did you? I said it deploys equipment, not that I think it deploys equipment.

You didn't read the time I posted it, did you?

I said it deploys equipment on the previous page, I was merely making it clear for Chad, and the other person that was still making guesses. Not everything is about you, your highness.

context/level/gametype sensitive equipment

depending on the map balance, x mite automatically be either trip mines, bubble shield, or some other stuff

also for activating certain devices maybe

It was the most logical idea, there's no reason why people should be congratulated for thinking logically, as it should be normal behavior. v_v

I'm very confused as to the purpose of the message where you quoted me twice. Please elaborate.

be confused no longer, i shall elaborate you said it wouldn't work in normal play, its "horribly unbalanced" then you said its the only logical guess
that made no sense to me

Horribly unbalanced as a standard grenade type. I was saying it would only be suitable as the X-Button function, not as a regular grenade as people were mentioning.

Depending on your look sensitivity, it might take too long to long straight down and throw the bubble shield grenade. It might be easier to throw the grenade between you and your enemy, or even right at your enemy. Hell, if you can inflict damage to an enemy with a frag grenade, you should be able to get a decent enough shot to lock your enemy inside the bubble.

Nobody said you have to look down to place the bubble shield. They didn't look down in the video.

You can freely walk in and out of the bubble shield. Also, it's not a grenade.
