Multipurpose

How do I make a multipurpose part for a skin, like cyborg or warthog, I heard it had something to do with something called overlay but Iunno what that is....

Could you be a little more clearer in your wording? Do you want to make a multipurpose map or edit an existing one?

You know how there are TWO parts to the main master chief body bitmap right? Okay those two parts are the normal bitmap and the MULTIPURPOSE bitmap, get it? I heard I was supposed to use something called overlay but I don't know what that is and probably won't know how to use it.

Zero, he gets it, bitmaps are also called "maps".
