allegiance, halos future?

ok, if youve ever heard of the game allegience, due to many factors (including poor netcode and lack of support) the game died, microsoft gave it up, but in the end, many people kept the game up, applying there own patches where possible and includin there own front end system..

well i think this will happen to halo, as long as there are enough people dedicated to keeping this game alive, microsoft may give the source...

maybe we should ask this now? if the HEK doesnt come out by the end of this month, im gonna start asking for the source of halo, its not like they are getting any extra sales from having the game anyways. i think microsoft should release the source, unabridged, the reason so many SDKs take a long time to come out, is because the creators have to go through the whole code, editing and including comments for the programmer, but i think in this case (and in the case of allegiance) they should just give it to us!

anyways, that just my two pennies

you gave ur only pennies away??!?! that suks. but, Halo is an awesome game... and although Microsoft is probibly stupid enought to do that, they might keep with it. or.... they may get too caught up in Halo2. and... if they gave out the source, people would screw the game to no end.

probably true. M$ isnt gonna release the source, Im confident in that.
