Actually I don't think its that obvious. The northern lights aren't that bright and if it was the light source why isn't the landscape lighten up as well.Xiion wrote:The light source is the northern lights... >.> it's kinda obvious.mike0619 wrote: The big planets quality is horrible and it doesnt really make sense that the bottom of it is all lit up when theres no light source under it.
I agree Excal, but their method is very useful, and this why i think that:
Giving out a true, honest, opinion can be very helpful in the process of improvement, so that it helps to let you know what you are doing wrong.
on the bad side:
it can make people feel bad, or upset, even angered; not wanting to open up photoshop, or gimp or whatever they use, ever again. that happens to more people than we want it to happen to. every person here has the potential to become a great artist, and i believe the only way to reach a high enough level as to be in equality to Maca, Alexei Kozachenko, or Max Power in skill level, is to be given true honest opinions on your work. by posting things here, you put yourself at risk of being put down, but thats only because they are beginners, and do not realize that we are trying to help them. Yes, some people look at their art and think they can do a way better job than them, and dont even give an opinion on it; they might say things like, " Bad job" or "You suck, dont ever post here again." but those are the rude people, who have no lives. Being given good comments on your work can relieve the stress from all the CC you get on your work, but i know for a fact its what has gotten me to improve my skills.
thanks for all the comments guys, i will try to make my next piece, my best piece, and i wont let anyone down, not even GTAF, who has been having a hard time liking my work.
(please dont correct my thoughts i just typed, as they can be used for motivation, which is what i aim for in my artwork.)
