Spark edit

i tried using spark edit but when i open the map to make a cache file to use it makes like a 10 giga byte file and says error: not enough room on hard drive my friend tried it and said his was only 200 mega bytes why did mine expand to 10 gig?
Its funny until someone gets hurt... than its hilarious!
