They probably think more people will buy Home Basic so they don't have to send their pc to surgery aka replace/upgrade a crapload of stuff for those who haven't seen the mac commercial.

Vista sux, it still has the huge safe-mode flaw and I put a batch in the startup folder at Sam's, made a new account and deleted the current one. Now the computer restarts every 5 minutes, lolnubs.

lol, I know. The pic is kinda retarded you should go say something to them say like Ultimate is the basic version and should be cheaper, they'll probably fall for it.

...seriously? wtf were they thinking?

yeah, i don't think they will ever get rid of batch files, so as long as they are allowed to run, and you have local access to the pc, that can always happen.
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

Oh I see now... I think it's safe to say I'm never going to buy software with such variety... I'd end up buying the less efficient one that costs the most.

You suddenly find yourself inside Harvey Norman. Don't panic -- Harvey Norman is the name of an Australian retailer. Uh, retailer, as in a store. In Australia.
Right, so you're in Harvey Norman and you spot a stunning (albeit strangely two-dimensional) PS3 display, one that exhibits the sort of aristocratic class you'd expect from an inebriated hobo rolling down the stairs in his finest paper bag outfit. Still, it's functional enough and does indeed inform you of the impending arrival of Sony's behemoth. But ... you sense something unusual. Drawn to the vaguely disingenuous vibe emanating from the display, you investigate further. Perhaps it's this -- NO! It just can't be!
That white exterior! You're sure you've seen something like it before.
That's no PS3! Why, if you remove the mask, it's ...
Xbox 360! How? Why?! It would would have gotten away with it too, had it not been for your constant meddling.
But honestly, the move for more OS's on MS's part is pretty good idea, because people don't always use what they pay for and then complain...However, the pricing and the restrictions aren't done too well.
