An albatross
iamerror
horse the band
cutting pink with knives
underoath
army of flying robots
tony danza tap dance extravaganza
the sawtooth grin
abraham lincoln killing machine
fear before the march of flames

those are some of my tops bands too and they all rock hard

xhardcorexcorexecksxcore!!!x

edit: oh btw dragonforce is NOT HARDCORE! they are metal i have seen them 3 times and met the band personally.

edit edit: i see you like some bands that are similar to my friends bands, check these out he's a good buddy of mine

http://www.myspace.com/oopsisteppedinsomechrist - oops i stepped in some christ (more so hardcore crust punk)

http://www.myspace.com/jaysee - hoof of the unicorn (i like this band more)

edit: alot of you are confusing metal with hardcore, children of bodom is metal. this is awesome i have seen 90% of the bands you guys are listing, chimiara was awesome live but there albums suck, i saw them with danzig a year or so ago.

Underoath is probably the worst band I have ever heard.
Next to Slipknot and that other shit.

I should make a huge flowchart for every subgenre in Rock...would take me a while, but it'd be fun.

I really can't name anything I like about Underoath. Although I think I heard one song once that wasn't total crap. Plus when your lead singer get's busted doing drugs WHILE in a Christian band, you know you got issues.

Scott Stapp is my idol.

But in all seriousness, Creed wasn't that bad.

xXx FTW

Bands:
Moria
Five Finger Death Punch
Winds Of Plague
My Bitter End
Adora
Underoath
SixthGate
Imperial
Mychildren Mybride
Flesh and Blood Robot
Before Their Eyes
Damage Case
Camilla Rhodes
The Dog And Pony Show
Evergreen Terrace
Thrice (Not Sure if it really counts :/)
WESICOV

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. If I open up WMP I could probably post a million more.

Lot's of people are saying bands are "Emo". I hope you realize that what your people are calling Emo is considered Scene. Emo is completely different... Emo music died out in the late 80s, Bands that claim to be "Emo" now, Do not sound Emo at all. Also Emo people did not cut their wrists, Those are Scene kids. Emo people just dressed in all black and tight clothes. It's Emotionally Charged Punk Rock. Not OMFGGOSLITURWRISTS Rock.

Oh my god totally. On the movie "School of Rock" they showed one for one second.

For those of you who called this emo, redifine your definition. Emo means emotionally hardcore. So all music is emo, unless it has no emotion at all.

Also Dragonforce>*

Yes, Dragonforce FTW, but that's not really hardcore, though. Is it?

Fast doesn't necessarily mean hardcore. Their vocals are about epic quests and such. Which is awsome.

Yes, The Used isn't Punk, neither is it Hardcore. If anything I'd put it in Alternative.

...I dislike them very much.

While I agree with you, in that emo doesn't appropriately fit into what people us it as, it's going to be used that way...just because the current "emo" evolved out of the dead one.
