Weapon disappear after 1 shot fired??

Post by trentster222 »

How would I make a weapon disappear after 1 shot is fired? In HMT there is an option to make a weapon "explode" when it is overcharged. I want this effect after the ammo has run down, or overheat is reached. The ammo would be set to 1 bullet, or the overheat would be instant after 1 shot. The reason for all of this is I have a sword weapon, which has the melee of a sword, but when you click, you throw the sword, and it sticks into people. The problem is that you are still holding the sword after this.

This was achieved by swapping the model for the plasma rifle with the energy sword. Then changing the projectile to a plasma grenade with the model also swapped with the sword. When the weapon is used, the ammo is eaten up instantly.

So now it looks as if you throw a sword, but if you threw the sword, wouldn't it make sense for the weapon to no longer be in your hands? So how could I go about changing this? I've tried messing with spew times, charge times, and overcharge times, but I can't find a balance between them all, and I want to know if there is an easier way of accomplishing this.

you can get the new plugins and make the heat for each fired shot realy high so that it overheats?

Yeah... with phenom's plugins you can change the heat generated (near the bottom it says "heat generated per round"-change it to like 50 or some big number) but there's no way for the weapon to explode or anything-I just tested this, and it overheats after one shot alright, but you don't drop it, and it doesn't dissappear or anything.

Try turning on "explode on overcharge"

That makes the weapon disappear from your hands.

Now I just need the same effect after firing 1 shot.
