Alright...here you go...
Well, when you download a mod it will be saved in .rar format on your desktop. Now, you also need to download winrar, a program that will open the .rar file. Dont worry, its free and its safe. So, you have the .rar opened and you see a list of items, click and drag any map files and .ppf patches on to your desktop, it will take a few seconds as it extracts them. So now you have lets say, bloodgulch.map on you desktop, right click it and copy it. Browse to My computer>C:>Program Files>Microsoft Games>Halo>MAPS and paste bloodgulch.map in there. The .ppf patches, if there are any, are a different story.
Oh, and dont forget to back up all of your maps, going to My computer>C:>Program Files>Microsoft Games>Halo>MAPS, copying everything and pasting into a folder labeled backup maps somewhere you can find easily.
