Crackdown and the Halo 3 Beta

Post by KOH_Church »

I recently acquired Crackdown and the halo 3 beta.

it was hard though since i didnt reserve it but this game is sweet!

i love the fact that its like a future GTA and you can jump high, use any car, use any weapon and the graphics are 100x better than GTA the lighting in gta was horrible i love this new engine.

i cant wait to get home from class today and play it and that there is a halo 3 beta in it is even cooler!!!

what are your views on this beta invite, will it go to heck, or do you just want to play the game like me?

It's nice they don't have square hands like in GTA.
I could care less about the beta, I'd rather wait for the real deal. Chances are I'll end up playing it because one of my friends wants to see it, but I don't care too much for it.

I would have bought Crackdown, but I played the demo.

It was really fun for the first few times, then I realized...this is what the whole game is going to be. No thanks.

I don't plan on playing the Halo 3 beta in any way, shape or form either.

I want to get crackdown but at the same time I share GTAF's view... Sure the game will be awesome, but I could quickly get over it and goodbye $89...
Its just too risky...
But there are no other games out right now... Perhaps I'll will get it, perhaps I won't...Plus it comes out here tomorrow.

Halo 3 beta? It could be good but I'd rather everyone else do the work and beta it...I'd rather get the full massive game then just be teased by a buggy thing which has the potential to ruin surprises when playing the full thing

It's a multiplayer demo. There honestly isn't much to spoil. Bungie will probably have announced everything about MP some time after the beta launches or ends. If anything, you'll have more of an edge when the game comes out.

I'm looking forward to playing this game. (Probably gonna get it soon since my birthday is in about a week)

And Halo 3 Beta makes it even better. But I would have gotten the game even if it didn't have the beta.

Could anyone tell me if the game is better than just the demo? Drop co-op because I probably won't be able to play it too frequently...But yeah is the SP aspect of crackdown good?

Can't wait to play it. Should be a fun time.

It is. I've played the game for about three hours and had a blast. Leveling takes a bit longer now so that's good.

Yeah I got it earlier today along with my free Halo 2 faceplate (go circuit city!) and while it is exactly the same as the demo, I think it will entertain me for a long time.

got mine right at launch =P. Im honestly in love with crackdown and my agent kicks ass! I spent an hour getting to the top of the agency building with a 3 star agility...>_>

I have just beat the los muertos island and thats it so far. But beating the game shouldnt be hard. I guess i will just restart and play on harder difficulties.

Crackdown pwns and is a great game. every little detail makes it so much better. Like at night some lights in houses come on and others don't but they do eventually and things like that....im just dissapointed of agency cars in the game...should of had more But having download content at launch was cool.

In the full game, is level 4 the max for each, um... "ability" for lack of a better word?

Like, is level 4 in the demo the max we'll get in the full game? Or can you jump higher?

Well, after you get to level 4, you keep gaining stats. When the little number gets to 100 it becomes -- and you can't loose any experience for dieing or killing civilians or cops.(Or so I am informed) I don't think you will get any new power for doing this though.

So far the game is awesome and it has been pretty easy. The Shai-gen are a bitch though. With their little heatseekers. I got hit by seven rockets in a row.
