Post by killzone2k3 »

NOTE:ive heard a little about some people having trouble using ce and hek in vista but so far i have had no compatability issues or anything.

Pretty good so far. My only suggestion for this map would be to open it up a bit more(Ie: remove some of the rocks).

Yeah you don't want it to be very linear.May I suggest putting a middle base in there? It would make the map look and play much better.

You made a box.... stretched a few faces down.... added some hills at the bottom... applied textures and called it a map.

Put some more effort into it, and learn how to model.

Congrats on it being your first map though.

That is a bit harsh. Its his first map. Let him get the basics down.

Although this map is far from a masterpeice, that's comletely wrong on how he modelled it... He either used a very low poly displacement map, or he probably modelled either the top or the bottom, and moved upwards/downwards. Just a little bit more advanced then "pulling some faces down on a box", but still could use very much practice as you mentioned.

I wish I knew how to do even that much... :?

Then again, I never tried or looked up how to.
