Duplicating Warthogs?

Duplicating Warthogs?

I would like to duplicate a warthog completely. Anyway, when I duplicate the warthog, and spawn it, my map cant load with the duplicated warthog spawned. I have tried, entity, insolence, and different version of entity. No luck though. Any advice on how to get more than 1 warthog spawned.........IGEO :P
The maximum signature size is 500x120px at 75kb.

wouldn't you duplicate it recursively?

I have heard stories where it fucks up the map and therefore i have not tried that. Though, the problem is, when I duplicate the warthog and spawn the duplicated warthog. The map freezes. I have tired on many many times and with different techniques and i get the same outcome every time. I'll talk to igeo

Actually Geo also had this problem... And I answered simply with
1. Terminal does not allow more warthogs for an awkward reason.
2. Check Recurive And Parsed, then click recursive duplicate for the hogs.
Then just relink the tags in the recursively new hog. :wink:

Also even if you recursive duplicate with parsed and recursive checked and you still got broken idents, send em my way and ill fix them for you.

For some reason many maps don't like their [vehi]warthog tag cloned
so you gotta bring it from another map.

1)get a clean copy of Zanzibar open it in DotHalo or Insolence and rename the
[vehi]objects\vehicles\warthog\warthog to
[vehi]objects\vehicles\warthog\hog,
then drag and drop the newly named hog into your map with insolence.

2)Now open your map with Entity, clone the warthog's [hlmt], [mode], and shaders
and relink them with your new hog. This method does work cause here's a pic.

Ok, well that sounds like that would work. Renaming a tag and then switching it over. I will try that within one hour and post of my results.

Anyone that happens to be on my AIM/MSN will know how long/hard I tried to do that... effin piece of crap Halo 2. Grr, I am angry.

It works, but you might need to bring the warthogs from many different maps to have THAT many hogs. :wink:

I beleave you can build the new hog with entity, it used Insolence as a reference.

NVM, I got it working on a fresh map but not my modded one. I'll redo everything and see what happens

GRRRR, this is not working at all. I have tried on a fresh map and works fine. I do it on my modded map and it freezes. Then i do it on another fresh map but on coag and it freezes. All im doing is renaming the tags, saving, and building. IGEO how did YOU get 3 warthogs on headlong?
