Getting Halo 2 onto my harddrive

Post by BSBPrivate »

Hi, I know how to mod all the new halo 2 maps and i heard in order to get the old ones modded you have to put h2 on your harddrive, so i tried putting it in my e/games/halo 2 folder when i ftp my xbox and everything goes successful, so i launch evoX dashboard and i click launch games from harddrive and select halo 2 .....then the screen goes black and says the disk you are using might be dirty or damaged, press a to continue.

i tried this with other games, and the same problem occured....

please help.

Get an FTP connection to your Xbox, and head to X:\, Y:\, and Z:\ partitions.
Once here, delete all the files in these directories, and try loading Halo 2 again.

hmm are you transferring the whole game or just part of it? If your just transferring part of halo 2 you will need the default.xbe, the media folder, and make a maps folder with just the maps you want. You will need mainmenu, shared, and single_player_shared if your using campaign maps. you will also need the fonts folder
