[WIP] Goldeneye Facility

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

All collision planes are done on necessary surface, and their is only one small bug that I'm working on. MC always falls through and get stuck on this one step, no matter how I seem to adjust it.....It's pissing me off.


Oh, and something really cool. Using cheat engine, sapien, and halo, I figured out how to force halo to display the level without running any radiosity whatsoever. It basically forces "rasterizer_mode"(a value which normally can be changed in sapien but not in halo) to be at 2. Basically, this saves me the time it takes to run a radiosity for 5 minutes(by that I mean for a few seconds, and wait 5 minutes for radiosity_save to finish). The downside is it isn't the best for testing textures; bump maps, reflections, etc do not show up in that mode.

Can't wait m8, this seems great. I remember back in the day, when we would play Golden-Eye for hours straight :)

And I fixed my stair error. I deleted the collision plane, and made it from scratch again. It looked the exact same as before, but it works now. I had tried everything else. I made the steps in question render only, so the only collideable part was the plane, but the error didn't go away.

BSP to-do list:
-make a few more textures
-add glass
-assorted touchup

How do you do your stairs? I just put a player clip plane from the bottom to the top and it works that way for me. Is that what you do?

thats pretty good shaders, keep up the good work and am looking forward to its release, btw i know i just asked this, but would this be getting release on h2v as well?

I see no reason not to release an h2v version when the time comes. :D

You put player clipping to solve that problem. Just a suggestion.

In any case, the map is looking absolutely awesome.

Dude. No. Do you even know who Katarn and Snaf are?They are some of the few 1337est modelers that have ever set foot in CE. =D

I'm not going to have time to make them myself(I don't have much experience). With the exception of the moonraker, I'm going to have to 'recruit'(beg?) other people to make them, or use freely available tags.

I'm hoping to use all goldeneye weapons if possible.

in my random dam map i made i had the same problem at one spot. when i figure out why it's doing it i'll let ya know. as for the no damage thing, bsp blocks grenade explosions, so if you're behind or below something usually you won't get hurt. as for weapons, if i get some time i could make some for ya, i already have an akm done i was gunna give to ds8 but he already released his mod so you can have it.

I'd be glad to help you out there. I already have a PPK and a Skorpion. Im working on a P90 at the moment too.

-Laser- i have a finished FN-P90 you can have it you want. It is about 1200pollies and pretty good, i needed to fix some of it but forgot...also i dont have 3ds max anymore :( so ill just send u max and u can make tag if you want.
