I lol'd when that guy blew up the bomb just to kill the ops.
To me 24 just seems to be a bad action movie transformed into a tv show, they try to add a plot with exciting twists and turns, but this is what they end up with:
Oh noes! There is a bomb in this building and we don't know which wires to cut.
Oh noes! Poison is going to be released by these mean terrorist guys in 10 minutes what shall we do?
Oh, man my superior was like a bad guy all along, who could have foreseen this?
A main character dies.
Another main character dies.
Jack dies.
Some evil terrorist is planning a attack with a bomb.
Jack wasn't dead after all, amazing!
It reminds me of the last couple of Alias seasons, where they revealed a main character was a spy for the bad guys all along, then later on that main character ended up being a triple agent, and so on and so forth.

The commercial is terrible(especially when they play it 5 times in a minute). I think last year was better, because I got into it. 24 is one of those shows that you either love or hate. For my part, I think that it's really exciting and I love it. The only bad part is, after it's over, you think back on it and say "wait a sec, the president got jack back from china just so terrorists could kill him? And the president belived the terrorists when they said they would give him the location of the other terrorists? OK.
