How do you guys figure this stuff out?!!?

How did ANYONE here ever figure out how to mod halo 2? or the first halo for that matter! How did you figure out how to get inside the map files and figure anything out? I mean seriouley someone had to have had alot of time on their hands.

I just find it amazing that someone has the time and patients to go and sit there and try to figure this stuff out.

I want to learn to do this. I already got C# and XNA to make my own games. mbay some of that will carry out so i can leran to mod games =O.

It just blows my mind, and i would do ANYHING to learn to do it (im a pretty good/ fast learner.

Does anyone else feel this way? and can anyone give me a idea, or a headsup on what to use if i want ot try and make a "New" app?

They reverse engineered it. And learned from halo 1 to help learn halo 2..

And many programs were coded in many different programming language and were released.

However I think this is a pointless topic. It wont last long, and In my opinion should be locked.

Well, maybe one of the creators got fired and was pissed or something. And people persisted modding in the first place because that's how the game was made(I think).

Considering how slow halo 1 modding got along, I highly doubt Bungie had anything to do with it.

I have figured out how to "piggyback" on peoples' success, fame, and glory. That's why I'm so magnificent, in case you were wondering.

I should write an app to help people "piggyback" on the success of others the way I have.
