(halo2) mainmenu questions

Post by UR MAST3R »

ok i have a few questions about the mainmenu and how to add stuff to it

1. Is there an app or tutorial that can add maps to my mainmenu? and where can i get it?

2. How do i make patches that are applied to maps into new maps so i can add them to my mainmenu. (SPPF patches and serenity ones)

An app you say? Well just maybe there might be at least one in the utilities section? I mean isnt that just another word for app? Only guessing of course, the line underneath it might help slightly.. "Utilities you will need to mod halo. No warez." - mayb?

As for a tutorial, well thats a tough one, i mean theres only 2 dedicated sections in the whole forum full of pages upon pages of tutorials; unsuprizingly the 'Tutorials' and 'Tutorial Submissions' sections.

And woah, even a Search feature right at the top the page! How convenient!

But yea, you wont find what your looking for here, sorry for the inconvenience...

Patches are applied to .map files, which retain their extension of .map.
Basically, you take a patch file, .serenity, .ppf,. or .sppf, and then use their respective program, Serenity, PPF-O-Matic, or Super PPF, to apply the patch to the map.

Once applied, your .map file is modified, and you will just need to add it to the mainmenu from there.
