I just hope whoever is doing this is modding it to the full extent and not just making it a bsp conversion. Try to make it feel and look like a whole new map.

[edit] Now I believe I know who you are and it was none of my previous guesses. Even though you were already an awesome modder, you have achieved the rank of Super 1337 :P [If I'm correct, which I'm about 90% sure]

For the outside BSP, you just do the BSP convertion > drag over the Decal Palette > drag over the Decal Placement > then build every [deca] tag the is used into your map then reference the [deca] tags in the [scnr] tag

It will fit in MP... Its already been stated...

You said SP maps take up 100MB-200MB, which is mostly because of other tags and sounds. (Machs, blocs).

In our case we can just transfer the BSP, with the shaders and so.

Hmmm...The size of patches will be larger now...So if someone's going to make a full SP>MP mod it better be worth it :)

I lol'd at the Bankhead thing.

But Veegie is right. Log mods from what I remember seeing were being overused.

The Possibilities for the SP to MP conversions ARE endless. Sorry, I don't mean to start a commotion, but it's just my opinion.

They are. Since there are so many BSP's that haven't been converted, and the sheer size of each one means someone could easily make a "map" out of many different areas.

Well, that's how I see it.
Indeed, just like the area up by the soccer ball. There are many places of this similar to this that could easily be turned into playing arenas. I am very excited about this. Just because the BSP is large doesn't mean that every bit of it has to be used in order to make a playable map.

Chad is now kooler to me...Making him 475% kool.
And plus people have been worried about BSP mods and AI being the overused mods of recent times...Niether have been overused by any means.

And plus, what makes this that much kooler is that if AI zones are also transferred it means one could attempt to make 16 player online co-op by placing all the AI and scripts doing their proper tasks...But that would require quite some time methinks

Thats a good idea, just have to have the scripted events and music and dialouge into get the full effect.

Starting from the beggining, then ending the game and starting the next map/BSP.

Why hasn't this been said before? *stabs self*. I had a great plan a while ago for a mod [bsp was "too big" though], but now I don't got a modded xbox anymore.

i mean the part of the cairo station at the beggining cutscene not the out door part and yes there are lots of bsps that can be used just many are way too big if you could scale down delta halo some how you could have a huge map to play on for all out war but im not sure how to do it i think its impossible to much stuff to go into a mp map's bsp like gemini

I understood that but I was asking about the file size in MB because we will be adding more then just the BSP we'll want objects scenary and that stuff.

But they just got that sweet tool that makes the maximum file size able to be 525 or sumthing like that
