I think this will turn into another one of those "HaloMods was awesome back in the old days, but now it sucks cause there are so many noobs".
Then again it might not.
I'm 16 right now, and I really don't see the problem with freshmen or noobies. I try and help them. Heck, last night, one came to me on AIM and asked me about something because he thought HaloMods was just a bunch of jerks "who know absolutely nothing about modding Halo."
He, like many probably named his thread the wrong way or posted in an immature way.
Whether or not its our fault, I think this is one of the reasons HaloMods is declining in active members.
It might also be that Halo is an obsolete engine that nobody cares about and only a few people like Crow Path have the skills to suck every drop of power out of it.
I remember when I joined back August. People were supportive of my map (whether or not they liked it) and posted. People, like myself, have posted [WIP]'s that have simply been ignored.

metkillerjoe, FTW!
anyways,

I would buy one, but I only wear polos, and this is too long after Halo. Ever since I got Oblivion, CoD3, and GoW, I haven't played Halo or Halo 2.
I got Oblivion about 6 months ago

I just found out what that meant and now I'm even more confused.Doctor wrote:metkillerjoe, FTW!
And, xserre, most people under the age of 14 or 13 are not completely aware of reality, think they know everything, and are annoying in some respects because they aren't mature. Most 16-20 year-olds aren't either, but what I'm trying to say is that the reason people don't respect younger people is because they (the older ones) have developed maturity and look at the younger one's and just see immature children who have yet to learn anything.
My two cents.

see thats just wrong.the reason people don't respect younger people is because they (the older ones) have developed maturity and look at the younger one's and just see immature children who have yet to learn anything
and if older peops see young immature kids who yet need to learn a lot the olders must be mature enough too help out the young kid and don't go like: oh damn another 13yr old
BIGGER.BETTER.XSERRE!

You need a really mature group of people to do that. Maturity is relative.xserre wrote:see thats just wrong.the reason people don't respect younger people is because they (the older ones) have developed maturity and look at the younger one's and just see immature children who have yet to learn anything

Edit: but for the sake of the this thread and its meaning (HaloMods store), let us continue this on AIM shall we?

Truth is he rarely ever glances at the forums unless someone points him to a topic/problem. Now don't go ahead and give me the typical "hes busy" story... everybody here goes to school or has a full time job... everybody here has a girlfriend/wife... everybody here has a life... and everybody here still finds a way to pull a few minutes out of their daily routine to check out the site and see whats going on. I'm not asking the guy to stay in the loop about modding and all that... hell, I don't even know whats going on in that area of the site, but at least check the site out every other night or so and see whats going on. See if theres any development that needs to be done or problems that need to be fixed... I mean, the forum could fall apart and he wouldnt know unless someone told him a month down the line.
It's all true... and despite our attempts to get him involved with the site, he either ignores people or never gets around to stuff. Don't take this as a drawn out attack against him as a person... I mean I've known him for a while and hes a cool guy, but when you have a site with 40,000+ members, I don't think it would hurt to glance at the site every night or other night.
=\
And on topic I've got zero money at the moment.

It also means that some of us think that the products are either to expensive.Cuda wrote:It's not that fact that we are immature 13 year olds, It's just that those willing to make purchases are either broke, or don't have the means to purchase goods online.
And, as Maestroman said, we would have no life in the eyes of our compadres.
