Mr McGeo, for the sake of your post making me out as if I had the wrong impression I don't, as I stated, I know what he was convicted for and I know in general ways the crimes that have been committed its just that I was just about to head out the door. So yeah your post wasn't needed (for me anyway).

I was unaware of this. Not that I have really looked into the issue much, but I still stand by my choice. Even though it may actually be more expensive, I still feel it is the right thing to do.Locke wrote:Contrary to popular belief, it is cheaper to keep someone in jail thier entire lifes than it is to execute them. Two hour scaffolding rental... $45
Price of horrible resolution camera phone... free after $80 mail-in rebate
Having one less person for the Jihad to look up to... Priceless

Sorry, I had to.

Actually if you read what Locke posted it pointed out that most of the extra costs are encountered during the trial process. So I suppose its possible to cut back on costs, but many people would probably protest saying that they aren't making sure that the victim is guilty before they execute him.Ice Link wrote:i agree it only costs a lot in the US where we spend all our money on poisons and crap

Which contradicts your before-stated logic. Saddam is guilty and was killed.now its only fair to take that life away from the guilty one.

I don't see why "the Jihad" would look up to Saddam, but okay, whatever you say.Ketchup_Bomb wrote:Having one less person for the Jihad to look up to... Priceless
On an even better note:
Bin Laden told his biographer that "the land of the Arab world, the land is like a mother, and Saddam Hussein is *** his mother."

REST IN PEACE, HMC

Well, forcing Saddam to read some of the posts in this forum would be painful.HPDarkness1 wrote:I think Saddam should have been sentenced to something more painful. A hanging as way to quick.Veegie wrote: P.U.N.C.T.U.A.T.I.O.N.

It would have cost equally as much to inprison him or execute, in fact it would have been cheaper by exeuting him this way, because if he were to live, he would be facing something like another 10 years in courts for all the other crimes he has commited, so yeah... execution; it's cheap, it's simple, it's fast.
