That is just specular and a noise bump, there isn't much detail at all.

After you rig the model select the biped and then go in to the movement tab, (I think its movement. Its 2nd or 3rd on the right), and turn off figure mode. The click either "setkey" or "autokey" And move things. Its pretty simple to figure out from there. (This might be hard to understand but I'm doing to from memory.)

it looks like you just put on the diffuse and nothing else. the material needs more work, but yes you could make a scene with it.
