i know i already posted this question but im gonna do it in more detail so ppl know im talking about ok here it goes.... I was trying to switch projectiles cuz i just got into modding yesterday so anyways i have the trial version so i downloaded the offsets for the trial version,i open the blood gulch level and im trying to make pistols shoot fuel rods so i goto projectile find pistol and copy the offset of it than i go back to hex editor i paste in the pistol offset into the goto box and hit go... but nothing happens i try this with several weapons but it never goes how do i fix this so i can finally start modding? plx help a new modder (im only 11 so don't flame me for asking stupid questions)

download HMT v3 from the utilities section of files.halomods.com

then if you get an error running it, you need to install Microsoft .NET framework v1.1, which is available through windows update.

if you install that, or dont get the error, in HMT, go down to the "projectiles" and expand it.

click plasma cannon (original name for fuel rod) then copy the "meta code" that appears above.

click pistol/bullet and paste the fuel rod meta over the meta that is already there.

1 He is trying to HEX edit. That is a good start because you will need it when makeing better mods.:::

Hmmm get Hex editor. Hex workshop takes more exsperience.

agreed. you should ALWAYS start off hex editing. it also gives you a better feel of what HMT is doing.
