[PC]DVD-Burner problem

Post by CE_AI »

Well I dont know if I can ask this here, but I have seen a few questions about PCs. My DVD-Drive has stopped responding, it will open, but it always says there is no disc in, I have tried reinstalling the drivers for it, and used google to get help, but I still have not found any way to fix it.

How OLD is the drive?
If its over 4 years old trash it.
Try opening up the computer and checking the connections to the drive
(if its internal)

If you're not allowed to mess with your PC, your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and see if they can help you with it.

If not, your best (and easiest) bet to solve it is to get a new DVD drive.
They're pretty cheap nowadays. Go pick one up at Best Buy or Circuit City.
