I spy with my little eye, a Fuel Rod Gun/Cannon. (Brute in the back right)

EDIT: There's also a Battle Rifle on the ground to the right, and a Spike Grenade in the air.

Whilst bungie dev's clearly stated they redesigned the brutes, I was kinda hoping to see next gen version of the fur they made so poorly in halo2...Like I wanted to see hairy gorrilaz!

As for it being a Spartan laser...I'd say no, I wouldn't like to see any covenant alien use a human weapon, especially cos they hate us (Flood covie are excluded [Speaking of Flood, Brute flood? o_O]). I'd say its a Fuel Rod...Brutes are such pansies, they use grunt weapons!

I find the adjustments to the shotgun kinda funny...Its as if all the MC did was rip the flashlight from the bottom and put it on the side (As there is a spring leading from the shotgun to where the flashlight is).

Yeah... Personally I think the characters (excluding the chief) look way too much like plastic models, not real people. Lots of hair on the brutes would make them look way more realistic.

I think it said somewhere that these weren't the real graphics but that they were just trying new things out. I read that at IGN.

Yeah, they're mostly, if not all placeholder and not finals, but still... GoW looked better when it was in alpha stages I think.

That depends on how far the developers want to go in alpha...it's kinda funny though, seeing all gray levels and then a burst of particles.

Yeah it's just texture-less, there was a cheat for Tomb Raider:Legend where you could turn textures off and it looked identical to that.

It's also a completely different fucking art style. Don't compare Gears and Halo. Not saying Gears has bad graphics, but they're not going for the same look or anything.

Also, that doesn't look at all like an MP5.
