Et Tu was used in the book "Julius Caesar" by William Shakespear. Caesar's loyal friend Brutus decided to join a group of conspirators (a group of people against a leader), lead by Cassius to kill Caesar.
When they made thier move to kill Caesar, Caesar's last words were "Et Tu Brutus?". Hence Julius' friends name "Brutus, (Brute).

There are a lot of events in the book Julius Caesar that would fit into Halo 3 (like a mass betrayal, maybe Elites, Grunts, Jackals, and Hunters betray the Covenant? Or maybe Cortana betrays the Cheif? Dunno)

my bets are that cortana betrays the cheif...

He says "Brute," which would be more suited as "Brut

Yeah that's true... I already have played as a brute in some mod, I forget the name though. I just think it would have been pretty cool but then again it would be unbalanced and probably not fair.

I must be missing something...what is this secret advantage to being a Brute? They're ridiculously easy to headshot, have a very wide posture, heck...they're even easier to spray-and-pray on...their body is huge.

Being a Brute wouldn't be unbalanced or unfair...it'd just be stupid and pointless. It would just be people complaining about it like they did for the Elite.

EDIT: Insane...the Hammer would be very odd as a weapon for humans...even for Chief/Elites. It is very clearly designed to be wielded by a Brute...but I guess it could be a two-handed equivalent of the Sword (slower, but one hit kill or stun or something? Although then it would have to be a ton slower and have some sort of disadvantage...being a one hit kill and all.).

Which is where this question comes in... who is stronger, Spartans in there armor or Brutes

From what I remember in the books...Brutes can apparently tear a Hunter apart, pretty much beat the living shit out of the thing. Spartans had trouble facing Hunters (I think they had their armor during that point...).

From what I can remember of the books, Master Chief once wrestled one and almost lost, so I would think it's pretty close.

Chief wrestled an Elite in Fall of Reach and almost lost if I remember correctly (Veegie, we need your supreme knowledge of the Haloverse)...Brutes are waaay stronger than Elites.

Well, the Arbiter did kill one with his bare hands in one of the deleted Halo 2 cutscenes from the DVD, so they can't be that much stronger than Elites.
