First attempt at adding color to a black and white image. This is of my girlfriend.

Well, the floor is the wrong color. She obviously is very pale; there aren't like... any reds in her.

How did you do it?

I see the lightmap from the shoulder...but dont know how he did the skin but know how he did the clothes o well 8/10

She actually isn't too pale... maybe she was when she got the photo taken. *Her friend likes to use lots of lighting*. The floor... Ya i noticed after I did the floor it just didn't look right but when i tried to fix/edit it. Nothing was working. I'm not sure what you mean by "reds being in her"? Also, I tried to give her a good skin color

Oh well, i'm working at it.

P.S. I used photoshop. Just a bunch of different colored layers. Colors applied on different layers in different spots.

The only thing is that you know what eacho colour would have been in the first place, ie the green carpet the red...outfit and the yellow flower...
Add colour to a different image that I find and you'd be godlike

As for your lying comment...I couldn't help but laughing pretty hard. What do you mean you can't understand why people would lie on teh internets? Its because they can. A lot of wierd people do it, most of it however seems to go on in chat rooms (Alleged Pedo mb? Not me though, all Excal)

Ha! I forgot to actually talk about whats on offer...I notice that in photoshop they are both different when you desaturate the colour one, so I can assume that you didn't just desaturate and lie (Or did you)...but regardless. Good job I think.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say scotty but mmk. If you guys would like to see me and her in the same photo she's got plenty of them on A. Her myspace...stupid website. B. Her computer. But i don't see why i'd need to defend myself. And also, i'll do one of those pictures and show you.

Lmao I didn't desaturate anything at all. If nobody believes I did this on my own... go look for the same photo. You ain't going to find it anywhere but on her myspace. Also, I thank you for the compliment. I'll see what I can do with your black n white photo's you've displayed.

Sorry, my post was made in pieces...I did it one bit at a time coz I'm trying to watch the halo3 video out now on xbl...

What I was trying to say was that, it does look good, its just that you knew what the colours originally were before you started didn't you?
As for the desaturation, I contradicted myself, it isn't as if you desaturated because when I desaturated the image myself, it was different (If only slightly).

Get me now? Or have I missed something

And yes, you are indeed right about the colors I chose. I make no excuse for those. I didn't realize how bad the green looked till after I was done. So, I am in agreement with all who say this.

I really like the fact that you're taking on photo-manipulation. Considering it's one of my favourite styles of art, I'm glad to stop by and make my posts a little longer. I looked over the image, and I think you did a really good job coloring her. I was actually rather suprised considering I don't much like your cracked image. My only recommendations here would have to be move on to bigger, more advanced photos, and then adding some custom art to it and textures to add to the manipulation effect.

Thank you Shout. I'm also glad you could stop by and let me know what you think of my work. Like i've said, i'm working at it and hopefully it's getting a bit better. I appreciate your critism and I am keeping it in mind from now on. To the person saying pretty girl. Thank you and I'm sure Agata will be glad to here it/see it.
