Custom cube maps?

Is there freaken custom cube map tutorial anywhere floating around? I've searched high and low and everywhere in between and cannot find one for making custom cube maps.

Those are bump maps....

Notice that I want cube maps.

I don't think there are. Just look at the different shaders and bitmaps for characters and levels.

Well crowpath did figure out how to make custom cubemaps, so you could ask him. But he is quite busy with his map. And yes, he also did bumpmaps.

I've tried that, but then I got confused greatly on how they're made.

Here is a rar file with the tif image for editing and a bitmap tag for compiling in tool, there is a Readme that I suggest you read if it is not clear how you make cubemap files.

Again like it says in the Readme, I did not pioneer this method and take no credit for it, but it does work. Whom ever did figure this out, Thanks!
