We know it can be done. It's programming. Anything can be done, because when you break it down, all it is turns out to be 1's and 0's. No sense in dangling a carrot right? lol. You just have to know the system well enough

So you say an external program. Isn't HMT an external program too? Which program are we talking about here.

well if anything can be done why hasent someone patched halo so if someone on halo pc has a modded map running online.. you can download it from the server....
its a good idea for halo ce too. it would make distributing maps much MUCH easier. that the reason CE died. cause no one could get the same map.
but anyway on topic again.
you stil havent anwsered my question. have you tested it over the internet yet? that should be the main priotity for this because what the fun of teleporting anywhere you want if you cant land on someguys head online and beat his skull in with the butt of your shotgun.

But they used something. All i'm wondering is why post it if you're not going to share it? It's like my Ruins of Halo mod. Even though I didn't really want to upload that entire file, I still didn't mind telling people how to makes some of the weapons that appeared in the map. After all, Halomods is a "community" right?
I think the program was written in VB.net(?).
Currently it runs online/lan but only the host can create teleports. Other people can go through the teleports but thats it.
The reason we made a video of this was to show that this kind of stuff can be done. Simply telling you how to do something doesn't leave much for the imagination to experiment with. We hope that people will get in to memory editing because of the things you can do with it.
Want a tutorial? Ok.
1.) Download a memory editor (Cheat Engine, Artmoney, etc.)
2.) Think of something you want to do.
3.) Use logic to figure out how you will find a certain value. (Coordinates, try changing your Z coordinate in game and search)
4.) Test by changing values.
5.) Make a program if you really want to make things easier.
Not what you wanted? I know you want an exact tutorial on how to do it but you will learn if you figure it out yourself. If we simply told you how to do it or gave you the program then you wouldn't learn anything.

1. because this works on line so only host can make teles it would attract cheater/no skilled/tank camping/noobs obviously. therefore realeasing ONLY the source would confuse them and they would probally go sit on the rocket turret on the back of a warthog and forget about it. while people who want too improve or play with this NOT NOOB WITH IT could have fun. this would also limit the amount of people who have it and motivate people too learn c++ or Vb so they could try this.
2. Halomods is basicaly open source in my opinion. we all make mods and people copy and improve them. So realeasing the source would allow more advanced people too improve this amazing mod. Maybe makeing it possible too spawn teleporter objects were you shoot it and makeing cool effects on them or makeing them explode after a set amount of time.. or adding a really nice telefrag function as a 3rd trigger
and even figure out how to make everyone on the server able too use the weapon.
