Since i was never able to make a decent energy sword for mp, I finally just took a model and frosted it over a little to give it a cool blue effect. Of course it's a melee weapon, but since there's no lunge, it's not quite as powerful as the one in Halo 2. So I thought, what could I do to make it more balanced on the map? Make it so it's something people might actually look for? So I came up with this. You know how there are "extra" powerups in the tags that were never used in the game? Well if possible I thought I might implement them into the sword and was wondering if anyone know how? For example, as long as you're wielding the sword, you run twice as fast and have full spectrum vision (can see those cloaked in active camo).
True, but you wouldn't need HEK for that. Since it originally came from the plasma rifle, i'd just change the change the projectile from plasma to hyperspeed. Is there a way to add a secondary trigger or make it so if i hold it down long enough, it fires something different (like with the plasma pistol) without rebuilding the map? I was also wondering if there was a way to null out the sound of the gun shooting? I checked in HHT but it wasn't in the tag. I could swap it out in HMT for something quieter, but that would effect the Ghost and the Banshee.
