Firstly, no, I wouldn't have the same impression. Because I have the capacity to laugh something off instead of attempting to silence anything I personally find objectionable. Secondly, no one made you watch the movie. If you don't want to watch it, then don't. Just don't come pushing your guilt trip on me because I laugh when something is funny.

If something's genuinely done to put down a group, then it's bad. But if it's done to MOCK those putting them down, I don't see a problem with it.

I am a big fan of all of Sacha Baren Cohen's TV shows/films. I went to go see the movie the day after it came out and I loved it, I was cracking up the whole movie. Part of the movie though is that none of it is staged, and Sacha is Jewish himself. I also found it funny because I am Jewish aswell, so I could laugh at most of those jokes (And even if I couldn't, they were so damn funny I had to laugh anyway:P)

Also about all the suing: He won't loose he, really can't. Infact, the movie contract for Borat was the longest and most specefic move contract that movies have seen because they expected this to happen.
