Nothing But good things? Editorial from Newsweek showed some Journalist got fired and house went into Foreclosure after an interview with Sacha Baron Cohen(Borat/Ali G), People Suing him after doing interviews with him for Documentary purposes and not for a comedy movie, and a Romanian Village suing him for misinterpreting their village as a 3rd world part of Kazakhstan, without compensation. A lot of people complaining about the Anti-semitism and such.V0Lt4Ge wrote:I might go see it soon, heard nothing but good things about it.

I so totally agree.RaVNzCRoFT wrote:I didn't see it, and I won't. I don't care that Sasha Cohen is Jewish, that the director is Jewish, that the producers are Jewish, or that all of the crew members are Jewish. The movie makes retards think that anti-semitism is acceptable, and that "I don't really mean it since I have a Jewish friend" is a legitimate excuse for said comments.

No lol just no.fishface617 wrote:There is actually more to the movie than men running around a hotel naked. Once you sit down and think about it, it shows a whole new (to us) veiw of what life/people are like.
Firstly, nobody listens to Borat - it is clearly a joke, he is not spreading anti-Semitism, he is mocking it. Honestly, you have to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes. It's this kind of lack of light-heartedness that sparks the kind of hatred Borat is making fun of. You have to look past what is politically correct and just laugh at what is funny; lighten up, you have to have a sense of humor about these things.RaVNzCRoFT wrote:I didn't see it, and I won't. not to come off as arguing for the sake of argument (my brother does that - what a jackass) but i wouldn't mind watching that. maybe by seeing the world's honest-to-(their)-god opinion on america, americans can better serve the world by changing their ways for the better? after all, it's our differences that make us unique, and the recognition of those differences (while not being mean) will bring us together. after all, you should be proud of who you are, right?Patrickssj6 wrote:Why don't we make a movie about fat ugly patriotic americans?
I'm sure they would laugh about that.

Personally, I found it funny. This movie is a clear example of how America would react to an outsider. Not to mention an Eccentric character such as Borat.RaVNzCRoFT wrote:Don't tell me to lighten up. If you were part of a minority and you sat through a movie souly making fun of that minority group, you'd have the same impression that I had.
